AGRINATURA communications  [21.11.23]

The University of Hohenheim is part of AGRINATURA. The research center for Global Food Security and Ecosystems is the main contact point between UHOH and the network.

Dear colleagues,

AGRINATURA is the European Alliance on Agricultural Knowledge for Development, an entity established jointly by European Research and Education organisations. It is based on two pillars – Agrinatura Association regrouping all members and Agrinatura-EEIG, which is its operational arm. Activities are managed by the Joint Management Unit, with one office in Cork, Ireland (Information & Communication, Association secretariat) and one office in Greenwich, UK (Business Management, Administration, EEIG secretariat).

Please check the AGRINATURA communication below and for further information contact Dr. Tim Ndah (h.ndah@uni-hohenheim.de):

Research SeminarResearch-Policy Partnership for Inclusive and Sustainable Value Clain. Speakers: Dr Heval Yildirim (Research Officer, VCA4D-Agrinatura), Dr Frédéric Lançon (Scientific Director, VCA4D-Agrinatura) and Olimpia Orlandoni (Project Director, VCA4D-Agrinatura).
Agrinatura has successfully been implementing the EU-funded ‘Value Chain Analysis for Development’ (VCA4D) project since 2016. The Alliance has undertaken around 50 value chain analyses across different commodities and geographies. In this seminar, the speakers will present the VCA4D project and its interdisciplinary methodology. The VCA4D methodology produces quantitative data to appraise the inclusiveness and sustainability of agri-based value chains from an economic, social, and environmental perspective. Having a multidisciplinary perspective, VCA4D offers researchers an exciting opportunity for collaboration to produce an evidence-based analysis of value chains that will contribute to the research-policy dialogue between North and South.
