Vortragsreihe »Hohenheim goes Agroforscht« –Agroforst und Biodiversität – 05.12.2023 – 18:00 – 19:30 Uhr – HS B2.Agroforst & Biodiversität: Der zweite Termin der Vortragsreihe »Hohenheim goes Agroforscht« findet am 05.12.2023 um 18.00 –19.30 Uhr im HS B2 statt. Alle Interessierten, Mitarbeitenden und Studierenden der Universität und außerhalb sind herzlich eingeladen.
Nach einer erfolgreichen ersten Veranstaltung und Einführung in die Themenwelt der Agroforstwirtschaft durch Jakob Hörl und Olef Koch von der Koordinationsstelle Agroforstsystem Forschung (kAFo) sowie Dr. Julia Schneider, welche ihr Projekt SENSE (Synergieeffekte in integrierten Systemen: Verbesserung der Ressourcennutzungseffizienz durch fundierte Entscheidungen in der Kreislaufwirtschaft bei gleichzeitiger Verringerung der Treibhausgasemissionen) vorstellte, dreht sich die zweite Veranstaltung rund um das Thema Agroforstwirtschaft und Biodiversität. Dazu werden Leon Bessert vom Deutschen Fachverband für Agroforstwirtschaft (DeFAF) und Mitarbeiter im Projekt SEBAS (Stabilisierung und Erhöhung von biologischer Vielfalt und Ökosystemleistungen auf Agrarflächen durch Schaffung vielfältiger agroforstlicher Nutzungsstrukturen) sowie Streuobstexperte Prof. Dr. Klaus Schmieder von der Universität Hohenheim über Biodiversität in modernen und traditionellen Agroforstsystemen berichten. Nach der anschließenden Podiumsdiskussion findet der Abend bei Snacks und Agroforst-Getränken im Foyer seinen Ausklang.

Agroforestry & Biodiversity - The second evening of the lecture series "Hohenheim goes Agroforscht" takes place on 05.12.2023 at 18.00 -19.30 in HS B2. All interested persons, employees and students of the University and beyond are warmly invited.
After a successful first event and introduction to the world of agroforestry by Jakob Hörl and Olef Koch of the Coordination Office for Agroforestry Systems Research (kAFo) and Dr Julia Schneider, who presented from her project SENSE (Synergy effects in integrated systems: Improving resource use efficiency through informed decisions in the circular economy while reducing greenhouse gas emissions), the second event of the series will focus on agroforestry and biodiversity. Invited are Leon Bessert of the German Agroforestry Association (DeFAF) who will present the project SEBAS ((Stabilising and increasing biodiversity and ecosystem services on agricultural land by creating diverse agroforestry use structures), and traditional orchard expert Prof Dr Klaus Schmieder of the University of Hohenheim. Both will provide insights on biodiversity aspects of agroforestry systems. Following a panel discussion, the evening will conclude with snacks and agroforestry-drinks in the foyer.
