The University of Hohenheim is part of AGRINATURA. The research center for Global Food Security and Ecosystems is the main contact point between UHOH and the network.

 

Dear colleagues,

AGRINATURA is the European Alliance on Agricultural Knowledge for Development, an entity established jointly by European Research and Education organisations. It is based on two pillars – Agrinatura Association regrouping all members and Agrinatura-EEIG, which is its operational arm. Activities are managed by the Joint Management Unit, with one office in Cork, Ireland (Information & Communication, Association secretariat) and one office in Greenwich, UK (Business Management, Administration, EEIG secretariat).

The aim of the JST is to inspire young people for development-oriented agricultural research, to qualify them in this field in an internationally competitive manner and rejuvenate and expand the corresponding professional networks.

ATSAF supports junior scientists with:

5000 € for junior scientists (of any nationality) affiliated to a German university staying at a CGIAR center
7000 € for junior scientists affiliated to a university of an OECD-DAC partner country staying at a German research institution

Invitation: Innovative partnerships for seed system development, this February 29, 2024 (Thursday) at 3:00 to 4:00 pm East Africa Time/12:00 to 1:00pm UTC.

Michael Keller, Secretary General of the International Seed Federation (ISF) will give a presentation on approaches, principles, and coordination mechanisms they have used to foster collaborations in building synergies in the seed sector to achieve impact and improvement in seed system delivery. This will draw on ISF’s experiences focusing on seed resilience in supporting seed systems development through these collaborations.
