CANALLS 3rd Press Release
05.07.2024 Exploring agroecological practices through workshops and strategic collaborations
On July 5th, CANALLS issued its 3rd press release highlighting significant progress and achievement on its journey to drive agroecological transitions in the humid tropics of Central and Eastern Africa via multi-actor transdisciplinary Agroecology Living Labs (ALLs).
The press release covers key developments including:
1. Development of a Decision Support Tool (DST): We at GFE together with the Department of Communication and Advisory Services in Rural Areas (430a) are proud to announce our significant contribution to the development of a DST for farm advisors. This tool is now ready for initial testing, representing a crucial step in supporting the implementation and evaluation of agroecological practices.
2. Furthermore, in cooperation with the African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services, we worked on the release of ten practice abstracts in the EIP-AGRI format to aid stakeholders in replicating successful transitions.
3. Successful co-creation workshops on agroecological practices to address challenges faced in Agricultural Living Labs (ALLs).
4. Co-shaping sustainable value propositions for agroecological food products.
