University Day for Sustainable Development 2022  [07.06.22]

The first-ever University Day for Sustainable Development (formerly Entwicklungspolitischer Hochschultag) brings together universities from Baden-Württemberg as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations to discuss the contribution of science to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). This year's event will focus on food security and sustainable agriculture from a global perspective.

We invite students, teachers, researchers, university initiatives, and representatives from university administration, politics, and civil society to come together at the University Day for Sustainable Development 2022.

In a diverse program, we emphasize the academic perspectives within Baden-Württemberg in the currently intensifying discourse on food security and sustainable agriculture. We are particularly pleased to present Prof. Dr. Awudu Abdulai as the keynote speaker on the global connection between politics, food security, and sustainability. In addition, the potential for sustainable development in the areas of teaching, research, and campus of the universities will be interactively highlighted and networking opportunities will be created. With the Market of Possibilities, there will be a platform to get to know the diverse actors within the thematic fields of international cooperation and sustainability.
